Show Committee Meeting May 31, 2015
Present: Janice Robinson, Sheila Robinson, John Robinson (2), Terry Bradford, Larry Bradford (helper),
Karon Storm, Michael Alpert, Gail Stymerski, Al Boyce, Steve Hull
Magnet Assembly completed.
637 business card magnets assembled, enveloped addressed and stamps applied.
Mailing this first week of June. Extra supplies will be kept at Janice Robinsons.
Prices will remain the same for stalls and sponsorships. These are the same as last year.
Bob Erickson’s e-mail request noted: do not change early bird date to avoid reimbursement checks.
Michael will contact Don to open web site and go live.
Al suggested the name for the display area to be: Farm to Fiber To Fashion. All agreed.
Ideas for Farm to Fiber to Finish display:
Sheila discussed how to present the AFCNA information to public/alpaca owners.
Sheila will bring her large postures of shearing for the Fiber Educational Display.
Janice will bring cardboard weaving demo for make and take.
Computer screen (?) set up to run loops.
AOA booklet- committee agreed to purchase 100 for distribution. Sheila was approved for $200 to order. Price $2 each.
Will not have a “children’s area”
Have more demonstrations like: spinning, weaving, fleece prep etc.
Herdsire Silent Auction
Committee decided to feature A-OK member’s; 3 Huacaya and 3 Suri herdsires.
Criteria: Must have a Blue Ribbon in a level 3 or above show, proven with cria on the ground,
1 alpaca per ranch.
Answered Prayer Alpacas have a gray Huacaya.
Paca’s and Pyrs have a____ Suri.
Diane Dickerson mentioned for a gray Suri.
Possible partnership via Facebook with a large business like Hobby Lobby.

AFCNA pick up area: Janice received AFCNA 8 x 11 posture for display and has sent link info.
Fiber: bags of fleece—possibly fleece show winners announced and presented
Fashion: adults/children with alpaca products on labeled with vendors info.
Parade will include Peruvian music with accompanying script. Last about 20 min if possible.
